Matt Mercer

Matt Mercer is the Director of Administration at Camber Children’s Mental Health Wichita, overseeing departmental coordination, workflow management, project completion, fiscal stability, supply optimization, timely reporting and maintaining licensing and accreditation.

Working over 25 years at all levels of government, mainly in the fields of law enforcement and emergency management, has given him extensive experience in program and project management, incident action planning and emergency response and providing guidance to senior elected and appointed officials during times of crisis. He was a member of the Southwest Kansas Critical Incident Stress Management Team, supporting first responders after traumatic line-of-duty situations. Matt also served as the Chief Operating Officer at Larned State Hospital where he oversaw all non-clinical operations which included security, facilities and grounds, dietary services, environmental services, laundry and information technology.

Matt holds a Master of Management degree from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from Kansas State University. He also has various professional certifications including those of FEMA Master Exercise Practitioner, FEMA Certified Basic Instructor, DHS Weapons of Mass Destruction General Instructor, DHS Incident Command System Trainer (Train the Trainer) and is a State of Kansas Certified Full-Time Law Enforcement Officer.
