Bringing Joy to Children During the Holidays
Children and teens receiving psychiatric treatment at KVC Hospitals for depression, anxiety, thoughts of suicide, or other mental and behavioral health crises were unfortunately away from their families during the 2018 holiday season. We are thankful to the many generous individuals, families, and organizations who brought joy and excitement to these youth by becoming Holiday Heroes.
What is a Holiday Hero?
A KVC Hospitals Holiday Hero helps make the holidays extra special by donating gifts and helping us host holiday events for the youth we serve. This season’s Holiday Heroes provided gifts for more than 130 youth, such as games, blankets, toys, clothes, and fun outings! Our Holiday Heroes truly bring the holiday spirit to youth at all of our locations and we wouldn’t be able to do it all without them!
THANK YOU, 2018 HOLIDAY HEROES!
We are incredibly thankful to everyone who generously donated gifts and their time to help us make this a special holiday season for the youth we serve, including KVC Hospitals employees who helped wrap and distribute gifts. While receiving treatment over the holidays can be challenging, it means so much to youth to be reminded of just how special they are by seeing the kindness of others!
